"Definitely not done with you," I say, nuzzling the top of her head as I climb up the rest of the stairs. I can't feel our connection on a magical level like she can, but I can feel the connection in other ways and it's so strong that it almost scares me. I think it's the first thing in my life I've ever been scared about. But I don't mind.

I smile at her and toss her up in the air, high, knowing she can catch herself and even if she can't, the bed is pretty soft. It's scary, but it's fun too.
