Maggie knew that smile. She'd seen it on nearly every female at school, and around town, found herself within a twenty yard radius of him. Since there wasn't also the accompanying satisfied sigh, she was pretty sure this Alex didn't know Levi in anything other than a professional way. Probably good for her since she was just as sure that Levi was off the market.
She smiled then and met the other woman's eyes, her own a little misty. "No, I had no idea. I mean, I knew Gustav had worked for Levi's family but not about this," she waved a hand at the grave, "and you're the same ones that made sure the cafe was cleaned and ready for me to open days before I thought I'd be able to manage it, I'm guessing?"
