There's a strange sort of warmth that I get from hearing her words, that I
can make her feel like that, that we're so connected. Ever since coming
here I've felt what was done to me wherever I come from is a curse. Maybe
there's a greater purpose behind it.
I lean in and nuzzle her neck and cheek, a completely animal gesture but
one that just feels right. A lot about Maggie just feels right to me.
"I need you," I tell her. "I need you to be myself. I don't feel complete
without you."
