"Seven bodies over three months," Levi said, pushing himself up to a sitting position as he pressed a hand up to his forehead and felt the shallow scratch there. It didn't seem like much blood, especially for a head wound, but he was all too aware of just how little blood it took.
"I didn't think it was a vampire because there was still blood in the body. Figured the blood missing was just because they were killed at a secondary site. Also, they were ripped apart. He just grabbed the chest cavity and... pulled it apart."
The vampire grinned, obviously with fond memories of the event.
"And you can't do anything about it," he said. "Because I have five more victims and I'm not telling you where they are unless you can promise me that I won't be killed."
